On September 11, 2001- my world changed, your world changed, OUR world changed. The lens I viewed my life and humanity through suddenly became obscured. I had just begun my junior year of high school and was engrossed in field hockey, comparative literature, prospective colleges and sophomoric tendencies of a 16 year-old teenage youth. As innocence was lost; consternation was gained.
Today, ten years later I hope we can all reflect and realize that we should love and remember those we lost in a way that honors them; rather than stir up sentiments of ignorance and malevolence that sadly was the motivation behind the tragedy in the first place.
